My Brother’s Keeper- The King in Me - Volunteer and Become a Mentor

MBK is hosting an event titled The King in Me on Thursday, May 15th from 9:00 – 10:30 AM at Wright Middle School (180 McCall St, Nashville) which will focus on providing mentorship and elevating literacy for 7th grade boys from Latino backgrounds. This event is a perfect opportunity for male, Spanish speaking volunteers who are interested in becoming a mentor with My Brother’s Keeper and Big Brothers Big Sisters.

What volunteers can expect:

• Refreshments provided at 9:00 am
• Volunteer mentors will be paired one-on-one with a 7^th grader and will spend time reading a chapter book and completing an activity for 45 minutes.
• Big Brothers Big Sisters will provide a mentor orientation for the last 30 minutes.
• The students’ parents are invited to attend and learn more about the programming.
