Position: Human Resources Coordinator

Full Time Position, Based in Nashville. Reports to the Senior Operations Director.TIRRC is seeking an enthusiastic Human Resources Coordinator to coordinate the recruitment and hiring process for new staff, manage HR systems and files, help maintain a positive and healthy work environment forTIRRC’s staff, and coordinate staff celebrations and retreats to ensure TIRRC’s organizational goals and objectives are accomplished.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Human Resources Administrative Support

● Coordinate the recruitment and hiring process for all staff positions for TIRRC and TIRRC’s affiliated entity, TIRRC Votes;

● Manage onboarding for all new employees and refresh current employees as needed in partnership with Senior Operations Director;

● Manage personnel files and HR systems for TIRRC and TIRRC Votes;

● Manage staff and career webpages for TIRRC and TIRRC Votes websites;

● Support benefits enrollment process and manage staff education for insurance and benefits in partnership with TIRRC’s external HR firm and the Senior Operations Director;

● Coordinate bi-monthly payroll with Finance Manager.

Staff Happiness and Culture

● Manage TIRRC’s Staff Happiness program including but not limited to staff celebrations, gifts and condolences;

● Implement staff activities to create a healthy and positive work environment;

● Coordinate staff affinity groups;

● Utilize and promote Employee Assistance Program resources to help staff be successful.

Office Coordination

● Perform office tasks including ordering supplies and maintaining records and inventory;

● Schedule and coordinate logistics for staff meetings and staff retreats;

● As capacity allows, take on specific projects to develop skills in other areas.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to those listed above. As with every position at TIRRC, every person in the organization will assist their colleagues to ensure a cooperative environment and respond to the needs of the moment.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE

● Belief in TIRRC’s mission and commitment to social justice;

● 2-3 years experience in HR or nonprofit work strongly preferred

● Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with diverse communities;

● Ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail and strong time management skills

● Proficiency in Google Suite or other office productivity tools, with aptitude to learn new software;

● Ability to work flexible hours, including some nights and weekends;

● Fluency in English required and another language preferred;

● Must have reliable transportation.

SALARY AND BENEFITS PACKAGE:Salary Range: $42,400-$45,000

Benefits: Full-time TIRRC employees are eligible to receive medical, dental, and vision insurance with 100% of the medical employee premium covered by TIRRC, participate in a 401K retirement plan, and receive 24/7access to an Employee Assistance Program. In addition, TIRRC provides paid leave including up to 15vacation days, 13 paid holidays, and 3 weeks paid sick leave in an employee’s first year and 6 weeks of paid parental leave.
