This Staff Accountant role within the Americas Accounting & Reporting team will be primarily responsible for the accurate accounting and reporting of fixed asset activities across the Americas organization. This role offers collaboration with our business partners inside and outside of Finance as well as with our external auditors. The Americas Accounting & Reporting team supports many of the financial processes impacting SG&A on the financial statements and additional related responsibilities may be included. The candidate must be very comfortable performing standard accounting activities including, but not limited to, journal entries, reconciliations, maintenance of the fixed asset system, preparation monthly review materials to share with VP+ audience and general analysis of accounts. This position affords the opportunity to develop into the fixed asset subject matter expert within the team.

As a Staff Accountant, here's what you'll do:

• Prepare monthly journal entries related to depreciation or amortization of assets.
• Complete account reconciliations between the fixed asset system and the general ledger and ensure recons are documented with sufficient support
• Identify and recommend process changes and best practices needed to drive appropriate accounting and/or achieve efficiencies.
• Provider general support as needed during the month-end close process.
• Prepare monthly reporting schedules related to fixed assets.
• Build relationships with business partners and meet regularly to ensure business activities are reflected in the accounting records.
• Prepare and maintain process documentation.
• Support external audit requests and follow-up.
• Other miscellaneous processes, as needed, to support the business needs.

Here's what you'll bring to the team:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA is a plus)
• General accounting skills and knowledge of GAAP
• Requires a proficiency level typically attained with 1 – 3 years of relevant professional experience, preference to previous experience with fixed asset accounting
• Systems aptitude and proficiency in Excel.  Ability to create pivot tables as well as the ability to create formulas (including V-lookup).
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics (DAX ERP) and BNA are pluses.

Starting pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The budgeted salary range for this role starts at $50k+ with potential for bonuses.
