Job Description:

The Sales & Trading Research (Fixed Income Research) Summer Analyst program provides the opportunity to gain exposure to the Fixed Income Research team within Sales, Trading & Research. Assignments will be with the Fixed Income Research team, with the opportunity to interact with other groups and disciplines throughout the investment bank. Within each group, Summer Analysts play a meaningful role in supporting internal and external clients.

Fixed Income Research

Truist Securities recruits Fixed Income Research Summer Analysts for several different areas. Analysts will join the Fixed Income Research/Sales & Trading Team in Memphis and gain exposure to some or all of the following five groups:

  • Portfolio Strategies
  • Portfolio Accounting
  • Asset Liability Management
  • Sales & Trading Analyst
  • Secondary Loan Trading Analyst

Analysts in Fixed Income Research play a meaningful role in supporting senior investment banking professionals.  Analysts generate fixed income investment portfolio presentations for depository, municipality and money manager customers.  Analysts will also gain exposure to regulatory and accounting issues related to depositories and build a more robust understanding of financial institutions’ balance sheets, focusing on an asset-liability management perspective.  Finally, they work with a team of Senior Analysts to develop relevant fixed income investment strategies and publish written research.

Location:

Truist Securities is headquartered in Atlanta, GA, with offices throughout the U.S. in cities including New York, Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, Memphis, Miami, Nashville, Orlando, Boston, San Francisco, and Washington D.C.

This role is specifically for Memphis, TN.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Scheduled graduation of final degree by December 2023 or May 2024
  • Overall GPA of 3.0
  • Proven analytical ability and attention to detail
  • Solid leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Superior written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team oriented environment

Preferred Requirements:

  • Business, Economics or STEM major
  • Prior completion of Accounting or Finance coursework
  • High degree of academic and extracurricular achievement
  • Willingness to commit substantial time and energy to the program
